We brainstormed about the way a regional society would best function in order to support itself and be self sustaining.
Our solutions led back to two main principles; that of a central living space with exterior farming and the importance of not building on farmable land.
A central city core is supported by only the villages around it for all its resources. Each honeycomb is self-sufficient, its size depends on the ability of its supporting villages to produce resources. Each honeycomb is surrounded and divided by wildlife corridors.

Considering that Murray said it takes so much land to just support one person I'm wondering if it is even reasonable to propose that Woodford could support much of a community in a truly autonomous model. It makes it easier that we have a blank slate at Woodford though, considering we need a complete paradigm shift to the way we design and plan our cities compared to the way that's best for sustainability. I'm excited to start a fresh and do whatever I want with the site.
